Learning to cook in a backcountry hunting camp or remote lodge requires commitment, punctuality, and hands-on experience.

What’s Expected of You

​

📌 Daily Attendance is Required – Students must attend all classes and training sessions for the full duration.
📌 Punctuality Matters – Be on time and ready to learn and work in a simulated wilderness setting.
📌 Active Participation – Cooking in a hunting camp cook school is hands-on; expect to be fully involved.
📌 Excused Absences Only – Two unexcused absences will result in dismissal from the course.
📌 Stay Within the School Perimeter –  We will offer breaks and downtime during the day that will allow you to go hiking, fishing, shopping, hot springs, or a short trip into Yellowstone National Park.
